DESTRUCTION OF ALL LIVING THINGS EXCEPT NOAH AND THOSE WITH HIM IN THE ARK

Gen 7:17  The flood continued for 40 days on the earth. The water increased and lifted the ship so that it rose high above the ground.
Gen 7:18  As the water rose and became very deep, the ship floated on top of the water.
Gen 7:19  The water rose very high above the earth. It covered all the high mountains everywhere under the sky.
Gen 7:20  It rose 23 feet above the mountaintops.
Gen 7:21  Every creature that crawls on the earth died, including birds, domestic and wild animals, and everything that swarms over the earth, along with every human.
Gen 7:22  Everything on dry land (every living, breathing creature) died.
Gen 7:23  Every living thing on the face of all the earth, man and cattle and things moving on the face of the earth, and birds of the air, came to destruction: only Noah and those who were with him in the ark, were kept from death.
Gen 7:24  The floodwaters were on the earth for 150 days.

THE FIRST RAINBOW

the waters subside

Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah and every living thing, and all the cattle which were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
Gen 8:2 And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were stopped, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.
Gen 8:3 The water began to recede from the land. At the end of 150 days the water had decreased.

the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat

Gen 8:4 and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

the first rainbow (sign of the covenant)

Gen 9:9 "Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you,
Gen 9:10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth.
Gen 9:11 I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth."
Gen 9:12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:
Gen 9:13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
Gen 9:14 Whenever I form clouds over the earth, a rainbow will appear in the clouds.
Gen 9:15 Then I will remember my promise to you and every living animal. Never again will water become a flood to destroy all life.
Gen 9:16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember my everlasting promise to every living animal on earth."
Gen 9:17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the promise I am making to all life on earth."

NOAH & his sons SHEM, HAM, and JAPHETH begins to MULTIPLY, REPLENISH & REBUILD

Gen 9:1  And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

Gen 9:18  Noah's sons, who came out of the ship, were Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Gen 9:19  These were Noah's three sons. From them the whole earth was populated. Ham was the father of Canaan.

TOWER OF BABEL

Gen 11:1  The whole world had one language with a common vocabulary.
Gen 11:2  As people moved toward the east, they found a plain in Shinar [Babylonia] and settled there.
Gen 11:3  They said to one another, "Let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used bricks as stones and tar as mortar.
Gen 11:4  Then they said, "Let's build a city for ourselves and a tower with its top in the sky. Let's make a name for ourselves so that we won't become scattered all over the face of the earth."

-------

GOD CONFUSED THE LANGUAGE OF THE SONS OF ADAM

Gen 11:5  And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.
Gen 11:6  And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.
Gen 11:7  Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech."
Gen 11:8  So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.
Gen 11:9  Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

-------

GOD SCATTERED THE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE EARTH

Gen 11:6  and he said, "Now then, these are all one people and they speak one language; this is just the beginning of what they are going to do. Soon they will be able to do anything they want!
Gen 11:7  Let us go down and mix up their language so that they will not understand each other."
Gen 11:8  So the LORD scattered them all over the earth, and they stopped building the city.
Gen 11:9  The city was called Babylon, because there the LORD mixed up the language of all the people, and from there he scattered them all over the earth.
